Living in Michigan, I’m very familiar with road work, because winter conditions are very hard on the roads. And when roads have issues, there are some times where the repairs that are needed are patches. You know what I’m talking about. The truck drives ahead of two workers who run out and drop shovelfuls of asphalt into the potholes and other cracks in the road.

Holland Sentinel

The Holland Sentinel is a newspaper published seven days a week in Holland, Michigan, United States, founded in 1896. It is published by GateHouse Media. Originally an afternoon paper published six days a week, the Sentinel moved to Saturday mornings and then added a Sunday edition in the late 1980s. In the late 1990s, the paper adopted a morning format for all seven days. Before adopting the name The Holland Sentinel, it was called The Holland Evening Sentinel (1928-1977), and before that the Holland Daily Sentinel. The Sentinel was owned by Morris Communications from 1995 to October 2007, when it was sold to GateHouse Media. The Lakeshore Press, a publication of the Grand Rapids Press, was its main competitor, but has since shut down operations.
