With few people left willing to take the scenic route, many of these places nearly became ghost towns. McCammon, Idaho, could have been one of these places. These days, however, there’s at least one place in town with a lot going on.

Jeff Glissendorf has a background in the tourism industry. Previously the general manager of TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Pocatello and a member of the Idaho Travel Council, he is now the director of tourism and marketing at Visit Pocatello-Chubbuck — and the agency’s first full-time paid employee.
