Biography
Daniel Monastersky, with over 20 years of experience, is a cybersecurity and data privacy lawyer. Holding postgraduate degrees in Cybersecurity, Cyber Crimes, and Personal Data Protection, he is a Certified Data Protection Officer (DPO) from the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria, Spain. He is a member of The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and the Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG). Daniel is also associated with the National Association of Data Professionals of Brazil (APDADOS) and the Spanish Association of Data Protection Delegates (AeDPD). In 2019, he was recognized as one of the Top 20 Spanish-speaking Cybersecurity Influencers. Daniel directs the Center for Studies in Cybersecurity and Data Protection (CECIB) at the Universidad del CEMA. He co-directs the book "Data Governance" and joined the Mexican Association of Cybersecurity and Digital Law (AMCID) in 2023. His international contributions include being part of the Advisory Board at the Global Forum on Cyber Expertise (GFCE) and participating in courses and events globally. He co-hosts "HumanOS" and "REMOTAMENTE” podcasts, focusing on cybersecurity, data protection, and digital awareness. Daniel is also a founder of the Ciberseguridad LATAM website.
