Despite frigid temperatures and a bit of snow, an estimated 800-1,000 (maybe higher say many) folks absolutely filled Riverside Park, made signs protesting the Trump administration’s attack on our democracy and the Rule of Law, and heard from a variety of speakers.

The 18-foot rabbit and ten-foot dog are the first major public art display for the community, installed at First St. and the Monarch Spur Trail. Placed earlier this year, the work of talented sculptor Ed Haddaway of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was chosen after deliberations by the members of the Salida Public Arts Council.
