St. James Catholic Church in Tupelo celebrated the Stations of the Cross, a popular devotion in Catholicism. Parishioners gathered outside the church office and watched the 14 stations on Friday, April 18. Each station represents the moments leading up to Christ's death on the cross. WTVA spoke to several attendees about the bilingual service and its significance.

  • Child killed in collision with vehicle in New Albany

    By Daniella Oropeza Verified| WTVA-TV (Tupelo, MS) Verified NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) - A collision between a vehicle and a child on a bicycle killed the 11-year-old in New Albany. Union County Pam Boman identified the child as Kasen Wimberly. The coroner said the accident happened shortly before 5 p.m. on Monday, April 14 in the area of Booker and Baker streets.
