Biography

Danielle Ivory is a reporter for The New York Times. She previously was a reporter for Bloomberg News, the Huffington Post Investigative Fund and a senior fellow at Bill Moyers Journal. She has also worked as a production assistant with Weekend Edition Sunday on National Public Radio, and as a reporter for The Nation, one of Thailand's national English-language newspapers. Ivory is a recipient of the 2014 Scripps Howard Roy W. Howard Award for Public Service Reporting, the 2014 Society of Business Editors and Writers award for investigative reporting and the 2015 Deadline Club award for business investigative reporting for her reporting on General Motors' ignition switch crisis and government inattention to auto defects, as well as a finalist for a 2015 Gerald Loeb Award and Livingston Award. She was a finalist for the 2013 Online News Association's Gannett Foundation Award for Innovative Investigative Journalism, the 2012 Scripps Howard Award for Distinguished Service to the First Amendment and the 2010 online journalism award from Investigative Reporters and Editors. She received the 2010 Media Award from Mental Health America for national online reporting. She graduated from Princeton and earned her master’s degree at the University of Oxford.
