Deputies were able to locate the suspect but Rios became combative and resisted arrest when deputies attempted to take him into custody. Deputies were able to arrest Rios.

Operation Safe Kids included resources from the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit and traffic units from Maricopa PD, Apache Junction PD, and Casa Grande PD in this combined effort. The two day operation focused on the 20 school zoned areas in San Tan Valley during the hours of 6:30am-9:00am.
