Traffic in the area has been identified as operating at speeds higher than desirable, according to a news release from Public Works. The meeting, which will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. in Conference Room 1A of city hall, 701 E. Broadway, will allow residents to review design proposals, speak with staff and fill out a public comment card.
By Danny Jimenez Verified| KOMU-TV (Columbia, MO) Verified Beginning Tuesday, contractor crews and the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will start work on a resurfacing project on Missouri Route 129 in Macon County from U.S. Route 36, near New Cambria, to the Chariton County line. One lane will remain open during resurfacing, according to MoDOT, with a 10-foot width restriction in place where crews are actively working. Flaggers and a pilot car will also be used to direct traffic through the work zone.
