I grew up in a tiny town in northeastern Pennsylvania. There wasn't a lot to do, so I read a lot of books. Life in a small town taught me that everyone has a story — or many of them -- and I wanted to know them all. I have spent my life reporting, writing, editing, and building teams that created engaging and informative newspapers, magazines, websites, and books. I've written or co-written three books on golf, one book with Jim Craig, the "Miracle On Ice" goalie and motivational speaker. I am more than an algorithm, more than a LinkedIn profile. I say what I mean, do what I say, always in pursuit of finding the stories that shine a little light on the things that make people unique -- or more similar than we could ever believe.
