Oliva made the announcement Friday in her weekly update to homeless services organizations. “I want to take a moment to thank our colleagues for their service to this nation,” Oliva noted in her newsletter.

The contract, in effect since December 2023, was extended through the end of this year. The council also voted Monday to sub-lease the hotel to St. Francis Center.
