Then came the jarring news that the days of the annual Red-White game had sadly come to an end. Husker fans were told that In lieu of a real football game, there was going to be what is called a Spring "Event." It is scheduled for Saturday, April 26th in Lincoln, Nebraska. So what's the event going to look like?
By David Max Verified| Sports Illustrated Verified It was really sad to learn of the untimely passing of Calvin Jones. I first met Calvin along with John Manna around 2007. John and Calvin were involved in coaching Jr. Mavs and working at Playsmart, a youth mentoring program, Playmakers youth program and were business partners in Forever A Husker. Both were regulars at our pre-game tailgates. Calvin's single game rushing record was beaten by Roy Helu against Missouri in Lincoln on October 30, 2010.

It is hard to come to grips with what we have all wished would be a happy ending and that Jack would beat this cancer and have a full life. From my perspective he did cram in a full life to the best of his ability over the past 12 years and the impressions that he left with us Husker fans and the rest of the nation will continue for the rest of our lifetimes.
