David Sackrider is currently a Senior at the University of Michigan studying Political Science and Communication and Media. He is a member of the 2017 and 2018 Michigan Association of Broadcasters Best Sports Announcing Team and the 2018 National Federation of High Schools Best Live Sports Broadcast. In addition to this, Sackrider is the News Director for WOLV TV, the University of Michigan’s student-run broadcasting program, and is a frequent Play-by-Play Announcer and Color Analyst for the Michigan High School Athletic Association’s television and radio coverage of high school post-season events.

(WJRT) - Nearly 580 people convicted of first-degree murder will be re-sentenced, according to the Michigan Department of Corrections. It comes after the Michigan Supreme Court ruled Thursday that 19- and 20-year-olds cannot be automatically sentenced to life in prison without parole.
