I am in the midst writing a feature length piece on Lawrence Lacks, the oldest son of Henrietta Lacks, known worldwide for the first immortalized cell line, HeLa cells, originally taken from her body without her consent in the 1950's. I also write for academic publication and am working on a critique of the Maryland HBCU Equity Trial through the lens of critical race theory.
