Over the last 10 years, I reported for some of the world's top news agencies including AFP, dpa. I also worked as a freelance reporter for New York Times, Al Jazeera English, Nikkei Asia, The Caravan, Himal Southasian. For the last three years, I have led fact-checking platforms in Nepal and collaborated with fact-checkers in South Asia. I was the editor of South Asia Check, the region's pioneering fact-checking outlet from March 2020 to July 2022. I also led Nepal's first research into gendered disinformation as part of the project at Panos South Asia. I oversaw the publication of handbooks on how to counter online violence against women in Nepal. In August 2022, I co-founded NepalCheck.Org, a bilingual platform that counters mis-and disinformation in Nepal. Currently, NepalCheck.Org debunks election mis-and disinformation in the country.
