Biography
Graduated from Yeditepe University with a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature. Later, continued her postgraduate study in Political science and International Relations. Alongside her studies, she also started working as an editor and correspondent in various television channels. In this time frame, she followed many important societal events in different provinces of Turkey. Her first work was with the book called “Onbeş” which reveals the struggle of Syria’s immigrant women. This book aimed to show the Syrian immigrant women’s determination to hold on to life, their skills, self-motivation, resillience, their hopes for the future together with the struggle of trying to co-exist in a foreign country regardless of living through war, death and loss. Again, with the same aim and content she took on the role as director and producer of the feature-length documentary film named “EŞİK”. And now, she is working as correspondent and editor in Turkey.
