Biography
Doni M. Wilson is a writer and professor of English. She received her doctorate in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has taught at UNC, Upward Bound, Elon University, the University of Houston at Clear Lake, and the University of Saint Thomas, where she teaches in the Cameron School of Business in the MBA program. She is currently Professor of English at Houston Christian University. She is a frequent contributor to The Houston Chronicle, "Gray Matters"--an online magazine associated with the Chronicle, and An Open Book: The Inprint Blog. She has also written for The Millions, The Awl, The Federalist, and the Imaginative Conservative. She has a son, Christopher, who will start high school next year. Dr. Wilson is a frequent speaker and consultant on writing, literature, and education.
