Albany hosted Haskell on Dec. 31, falling 60-25, but picked up a 37-23 win over TLCA on Jan. 3 in Abilene. The girls hosted the 18-2 Cisco girls on Tuesday in a district game, falling to the Lady Loboes 66-17 to post a season mark of 4-15 including 1-4 in district.

  • Lions earn two district wins, fall to Cisco

LucasThe varsity Lion basketball team earned a pair of wins over district opponents last week, defeating both Haskell and TLC Abilene to improve to 8-4 for the season, including 3-0 in district. The Lions hosted the Cisco Loboes on Tuesday, dropping to 3-1 in district with a 48-39 loss. Albany will be on the road on Friday in Anson to take on the Tigers in a 7:30 p.m. bout, followed by a trip to Stamford on Jan. 20 to wrap up the first half of district.
