By Doug Falconer| CJGX-AM (Yorkton, SK) Verified Another court appearance has been made by a Saltcoats man, facing numerous charges, including Attempted Murder, in connection with the assault of a young child in Yorkton. 41-year-old Frederick Stewart was in Yorkton Provincial Court today (Tue), where he was remanded in custody to April 24. On February 1, Yorkton RCMP received a report of a serious assault at a home on Waterloo Road. A child, who is under the age of six, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

In November of 2023, RCMP were called to a home on Sixth Avenue North to conduct a welfare check, and upon arrival, they found the body of William Byblow. Donna Spilchen is charged with Second Degree Murder. In Yorkton Provincial Court today (Tue), she had her matter adjourned to April 30.
