Emmanuel Toye Sobande is an international author, a strategic leadership expert, lawyer, public speaker, and trainer. He earned a Doctorate of Strategic Leadership from Regent University, Virginia Beach, USA, and he is the author of “The Leadership Myth: Why Leadership Principles Do Not Work in Sub-Saharan Africa.” He is the Lead Consultant and President of Stephens Leadership Consultancy LLC, a strategy and management consulting firm offering creative insight and solutions to businesses and leaders. With over 24 years of service in various followership and leadership endeavours, He has advocated for followers, transformational leadership, organizational culture and leadership development in political governance. Sobande is also the Publisher and Executive Director of the African Leadership Journal, an intellectual platform that engages scholars and practitioners who advance leadership and followership development across the globe. He is a member of the Association of Leadership Educators (ALE) and a Certified Management Consultant and a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants. A member of the International Leadership Association (ILA), the Society of International Economic Law, and the Nigerian Bar Association.
