The Common Council approved the annexation unanimously Wednesday. The property is located at 4700 N. Richmond St. and is contiguous to Appleton. No one lives on the land. The annexation was requested by David Dorn, trustee for the Jane Dorn Revocable Trust. He is represented by Steve Wieckert of Wieckert Real Estate.

Nieforth has been employed by the city of Oshkosh since 2012 and has served as its community development director since 2021. Before that, she was Oshkosh's economic development manager.
