The city is undertaking what officials are calling an Active Transportation Vision. Active transportation is any form of transportation where a person moves under their own power, for example, bicycle riding, scooter riding, walking or running. Community Development Coordinator Miranda Lambert said this vision is the first step in determining what Macomb needs.

A crowd of more than 100 gathered at the doors of T.J. Maxx on East Jackson Street to officially cut the ribbon. ”This is such a springboard for us,” said Kim Pierce, president of the Macomb Area Economic Development Corporation.
