The main goal of Good Jobs Great Cities is to connect people with education, including apprenticeships, career opportunities and to help local industry succeed. A particular focus is helping individuals who are historically under-served and from under-represented communities.
By Ed Cottingham| Enquirer-Journal Verified During a special meeting held by Monroe City Council on Thursday, April 25, the rules governing public comment at council meetings were reviewed and possible changes discussed. In recent months, the meetings have seen more people signing up to speak. Councilor Julie Thompson suggested going from a 3-minute time limit per speaker to 2 minutes per speaker to allow for more speakers. Public comment is currently held for 30 minutes at the beginning of the meetings.
