By Ed Sokalski, Aakriti Jain| The Morning Call Verified You can protest literally anything as long as it is peaceful. Protesting (sometimes via rallies, events, demonstrations, marches, etc.) is an extension of free speech granted by the First Amendment in the United States. Many protests are in response to national issues like war, which is a political issue, or abortion, which is a fundamental human rights issue.
