Dr. Eli Gottlieb is a cultural psychologist, executive coach and advisor to organizations on leadership and strategy. He specializes in work with leadership teams to develop vision, strategy and measurable indicators of success and in individual work with senior executives who are considering their next phase. His coaching and consulting philosophy emphasizes precise articulation of clients’ goals and capacities, and courageous re-imagination of the kinds of career path and organizational culture that will maximize their impact. For over a decade, Eli directed the Mandel Leadership Institute in Jerusalem, where, in addition to his executive responsibilities, he coached future members of parliament, senior army officers, educational leaders and social entrepreneurs. In recognition of this work, Eli was ranked joint 12th in the Marker Magazine’s 100 most influential people in Israel. Eli was born in London and moved to Israel in the mid-nineties after completing degrees in philosophy and developmental psychology at Cambridge University. He received his PhD from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and has spent extended periods in the US as a visiting professor at the University of Washington, Stanford University and The George Washington University. He brings to his work an international perspective and a combination of theoretical and practical expertise about how culture and identity influence thinking and shape leadership. His writing on culture, identity and leadership appears in academic journals and leading newspapers in Israel, Europe and the US.
