Biography
Eli Sherman is an Emmy and Murrow award-winning journalist. He joined the 12 News investigative unit in 2019, having previously worked as an investigative reporter for GateHouse Media. He’s also covered economics for Providence Business News and worked as a metro reporter for the Waltham News Tribune. Sherman was part of the 12 News team to win a national Edward R. Murrow award for overall excellence in 2023. He’s also the recipient of a New England Emmy and multiple regional Edward R. Murrow awards for investigative journalism. While working for newspapers before switching over to broadcast, Sherman won first-place awards from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers (SABEW), The Alliance of Area Business Publishers, the New England Newspaper & Press Association and The Rhode Island Press Association.
