Originally from Kalispell, Montana, Elizabeth Harball is a staff reporter for ClimateWire, a part of Environment & Energy Publishing in Washington, D.C. She covers the intersection between climate change and forests, domestically and internationally, and also occasionally writes on water issues. This year, Elizabeth is a Paul Miller Washington Reporting Fellow, an honor awarded by the National Press Foundation. In 2009, Elizabeth received a B.A. in liberal arts from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She graduated from from Columbia University School of Journalism in 2012, and was the 2012 Poetry Foundation Journalism Fellow.
