The State News is an independent nonprofit student media organization serving Michigan State University (MSU). Founded in March 1909, it began as the Holcad and evolved into the Michigan State News. Today, it acts as the official student voice of MSU, delivering news coverage to the university community and surrounding areas. The State News provides comprehensive news coverage on local, national, and international events relevant to MSU. It covers a variety of topics, including campus news, sports, and cultural events.
