Biography
I’m in my forties, but I’m forever young at heart. I believe in viewing the world with childlike wonder. I’m an Arizona native; the desert called me home after a few adventures elsewhere. Writing is my compass, and it guides me to moments spent with loved ones, enjoying the beauty of Arizona's winter while completely hiding under a rock during the brutal summer heat. I am a woman with disabilities, but never a Disabled Woman. I am a partner, daughter, friend, and writer. It's all about who I am inside, not the parts I’m built with. I have severe, uncontrolled MCAS, CIDP, POTS, SFN, ME/CFS, EDS, and much more, but these things don't control me. I love reading, painting, and the sweet taste of victory in Scrabble battles. I dream of becoming a crazy dog lady someday. I proudly won the 2019 Tempe Writing Competition for Poetry and earned a 2024 Highly Commended status in the esteemed McLellan Poetry Competition.
