I am thrilled about storytelling. The desire to unearth human interest pieces has driven interviews with scientists, legal authorities, industry experts, and revolutionaries. It’s also created mad adventures to find these inspiring people. I hopped a plane and flew 20,000 miles round trip to a tiny Indian Ocean island paradise for such a story. My work has been featured in The Startup, Noteworthy Journal Blog, Invisible Illness, and Medium’s Travel and Health Publications. When I’m not furiously venting on Medium, I maintain two intersecting careers. I’m a business owner and twenty-year consultant in risk management, workplace compliance, and emergency management. For inquiring minds, this includes OSHA, NFPA, JCI, ILO, and a host of other alphabet soup acronyms, which all simply mean, “Attempting to keep individuals intact and alive on the job.” (My work usually results from people doing their best to injure themselves with unsafe practices.) Applying that background, I write with two decades of consulting experience on a range of critical business and community wellness topics. My portfolio includes a thousand total published articles, content, blogs, eBooks, continuing education modules, training programs, and policies. I’ve worked with some of the best editors for Fortune 500 clients and partnered in B2B/B2C marketing campaigns with fabulous teams. If it exists in written form, I’ve probably created a version of it.
