Playing through light rain at North Kingstown High School, the Skippers went up 5-3 with 4:33 left in the first quarter, but the Crusaders outscored them 15-3 the rest of the way. Prout won by an 18-8 final, earning its first D-I win of the new season.

Prout beat Narragansett 6-1, earning its fifth win in as many tries this spring. It was the first loss for Narragansett in its five league matches. “I told these guys coming into the year that, ‘Listen, we have the talent,’” Prout senior captain Rocco Grasso said.
