Outlier had a couple sponsored content agreements when Schopmeyer joined, but she wanted to help grow this revenue stream to offset the organization’s reliance on grants and improve the organization’s sustainability.

The Reynolds Journalism Institute (RJI) at the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism is a prominent center for journalism innovation and research. Established in 2004 with a significant gift from the Donald W.
