    By Emily Porter| The Manhattan Mercury Verified Just in time for peak bloom, head to Wamego for the annual Tulip Festival this weekend. Starting around 9 a.m. Saturday, visit the more than 200 vendors scattered around Wamego City Park while also taking in the blooming tulips. The event goes until 5 p.m. Saturday, but picks back up at 10 a.m. Sunday, and ends at 4 p.m.Also this weekend, for those who want to stay in Manhattan, Kansas State University will be hosting its annual Open House starting around 9 a.m. Saturday.
