I’m a professional journalist with a focus on Technology, Travel, and Alcohol. I love breaking down complex topics and ideas into language everyday people can understand and relate to, a love that influences the content I write. I also literally wrote the book on Productivity. "Productivity Hacks: 500+ Easy Ways to Accomplish More at Work" was published by the Simon and Schuster imprint Adams Media in 2018. The goal to make complex topics approachable and has also fueled some of my more travel and spirits-related coverage for Fortune. In alcohol, I hold a Certificate in Whisky from The Edinburgh Whisky Academy and I am a Lvl 1 Cicerone (beer sommelier). I’m an early adopter, and am naturally inquisitive about all aspects of consumer tech from the gadgets that are making our homes smarter to how video games are becoming more social. More importantly, I’m interested in how all those apps and gadgets are going to make our lives better. Throughout my career thus far I’ve had the opportunity to interview hundreds of CEOs including Steve Wozniak, Biz Stone, and Richard Branson as well as celebrities like Will.i.am, Nick Offerman, and Laverne Cox. I’ve attended thousands of product launches and have reviewed everything from the newest cell phones to the latest IPAs. I was in the beta of Twitter, one of the first few to get Google Glass and I was sitting in the front row in London when the first Windows Phone devices were finally unveiled to the world. I’ve also traveled to over 30 countries and 100+ breweries and distilleries, and have worked alongside brand's Master Blenders to create my own signature whiskey, cognac, tequila, and rum.
