Mixed into her busy life is a disability that she refuses to define her. “My faith is a big reason why I have been able to keep going, that and sheer determination,” Payne said. Payne was diagnosed at 15 months with a neuromuscular condition called quadriplegia. It was estimated she would only live to be 3 years old.
