  • Côte d'Ivoire May Sell Additional Stake In Cocoa Processor To Malaysian Firm To Boost Processing Capacity

GCB’s Singapore subsidiary recently acquired a 25 per cent stake in Transcao from Côte d’Ivoire’s cocoa regulator, Coffee and Cocoa Council (CCC). CCC Director, Yves Kone, said the country is open to GCB increasing its stake further, depending on government approval.

The announcement was made by the Acting Chairperson, LTA Board of Commissioners, Abdullah Kamara, during the Ministry of Information’s regular press briefing in Monrovia on Thursday.

  • 6.7 kg Of Cocaine Seized From Portuguese Passenger At Conakry Airport

    By Emmanuel Ejiofor| West Africa Weekly@ Guinean security services seized 6.7 kilogrammes of cocaine from a Portuguese passenger identified as Mamadu Baldé on Wednesday at Ahmed Sékou Touré International Airport in Conakry. The suspect was apprehended as he was about to board an Air France flight to Paris, Guinéenews reported on Thursday. According to Guinéenews, there have been several recent drug seizures at the airport involving both Guineans and foreigners.
