Lancaster city church establishes reparations fund to raise money as compensation for the Black community
By Enelly Betancourt| Centre Daily Times Verified A Lancaster city church, prompted by the 2020 murder of George Floyd by a police officer in Minnesota, is collecting donations for a Black reparations fund. The Reparations Action Fund for Tomorrow looks to "address systemic inequities experienced by African Americans, arising from generations of racial injustice in our community," according to a description of the fund on the Lancaster County Community Foundation's website.
