I am the founder, editor and publisher of Best Fishing in America, a free website spotlighting the top fishing spots and techniques in the U.S. I have a team of freelance writers who are expert anglers in their regions of the country to help write articles. I also have been a staff reporter for several Pacific Northwest newspapers and a freelance writer for newspapers and magazines. I have won numerous journalism awards, including multiple first-place trophies from the Society of Professional Journalists. I have been featured in true crime documentaries about a serial murder case I covered as a journalist. I have a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's degree in teaching special education. I currently work at Best Fishing in America full-time.
