Standing at the 11th tee box, head pro Dennis Nicholl explained the significance behind that particular part of the course. “It was the location of a cabin, an old fishing cabin, called Chapin Cabin,” he said.

(WMBF) – Golfers and spectators won’t be the only ones on the course during the Myrtle Beach Classic. The course’s alligator community will also be out there. The world-famous 13th hole, the par 5 Waterloo is where golfers and fans will see a gator basking in the sun or wading in the waters. “It’s the home of all our alligators,” said Dennis Nicholl, the head golf professional at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club.
