Biography

I'm a freelance journalist with experience covering everything from water in the West to school lunches. I'm a native Coloradan and in my past jobs, I've been a radio reporter, a newspaper copy editor, a public-relations official, an elementary school teacher and the owner of a startup business selling gourmet pickles (no kidding). I believe all this varied experience helps me have a broad knowledge base and contributes to my ability to relate to story subjects. I have a knack for seeking out unique angles and telling compelling stories. In my spare time, you'll find me hiking, exploring, reading, gardening and cooking up a storm. I also have five poorly behaved chickens, a dog and a patient husband.
