The next day we decided to take a taxi to the top of Jaffa Road and to walk down instead. This was much easier on my arches and toes. At the same time, everything that I perused in the stores that line this main strip seemed less expensive than on the uphill day. So, it’s all about the angle of the avenue as well as the type of shoes you’re wearing to navigate these unique hills in Jerusalem.
