Biography
I have worked before in the academic domain; in Arabic, English and French, I have given courses in English in Paris, Kuwait, Beirut, and NY in Cinema and Journalism. I am an award-winning filmmaker with a filmography of 3 long films and 8 shorts. I freelanced across Europe, New York and the Middle East as a communication specialist, translator, political science researcher and economic advisor. I am multilingual, multicultural I come from a Kuwaiti Lebanese-Italian -American- French family and I am proud of it I am interested in a role that fits my experience as I have been working in the media field since 2007. I worked as a Public relations agent in Beirut in the Arts and Entertainment sector between 2005-2009, followed by a career as a print journalist and a freelance reporter for various publications ranging in political coverage, cinema and culture between 2009 and 2021. During this time I also worked parallelly in film and broadcast television freelancing and appearing on many tv stations such as Kuwait TV, France24, CNNArabic, Aljazeera, ALArabia, RTFrance, France2 and Associated Press and more. I am a humanitarian, I believe in world justice, non-smoker, and I love bagels. I worked with governmental TV channels, the Kuwait mission to the UN, the United Nations program for women’s equality, led the working group Sustainable Development Goals and supervised a team of Kuwaiti diplomats at the GA opening in 2013. I also covered events such as the Climate Change Conference, Peace forum in Paris, Yellow vests protests, Presidential elections of USA 2016, and Macron's win in France. I have also worked as a social media consultant for UNESCO in Paris. I am currently a doctoral candidate in my 2nd year writing a thesis on Lebanese Cinema in the diaspora; particularly the works of the late Lebanese-Belge, Filmmaker Borhan Alaouie.
