Biography

I'm a photojournalist based in Srinagar, Kashmir with a passion for capturing compelling stories through my lens. In the past two years, I've covered a wide range of issues including politics, environment, and governance. I completed a Diploma in Digital Photography from the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Srinagar, which taught me how to make full use of the advanced features of the camera. I also completed a short-term course for 'Assistant Cameraman' from the University of Kashmir, where I learned about the technicalities and handling of filming equipment. Currently, I work as a Multimedia Journalist for Nida-e-Kashmir, utilizing my photography, video, and video editing skills to produce compelling multimedia content. Prior to this, I worked as a Photojournalist for Rising Kashmir, where I covered a wide range of stories and events. Aside from English and Urdu, I'm fluent in Kashmiri, which helps me connect with the local community. When I'm not working, I enjoy playing carrom, cricket, and football. My objective is to continue capturing and sharing compelling stories through my lens while continuously improving my craft and skills.
