Biography
I am a freelance Italian journalist. I cover journalism, news outlets, and their business models. My work has appeared in The Fix Media, Valigia Blu, Rolling Stone, Internazionale, Professione Reporter. In 2017, I founded the podcast Giornalisti al Microfono (Journalists at the Microphone). In the podcast, I interviewed innovative journalists who work to serve the public. With the help of five other journalists, the project included blog posts and a newsletter. Today, I also curate and manage a community for Italian journalists. With Guia Baggi, I co-founded Lo Spioncino dei Freelance (The Freelance Peephole), which collects payments from freelance journalists for Italian-language newspapers. It is a website that runs thanks to the voluntary reports of journalists, uploaded anonymously. I have a bachelor's degree in modern literature, a master's degree in modern philology, and I completed the EJCP program at the Newmark J-School at Cuny.
