Biography

Frank Bass is a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter who has specialized in data-driven investigations for more than two decades. A graduate of Texas Tech University, Bass has worked at Al Jazeera, Bloomberg News, the Wall Street Journal, and the Houston Post, where he was the 1994 Texas Headliners Foundation Reporter of the Year. Bass is the author of three books and was director of computer investigations at the Associated Press, where he shared the 2006 Gerald Loeb Award for stories on the mishandling of Sept. 11 terrorism loans to U.S. small businesses. He is currently managing editor at MapLight.Org, one of the nation's leading campaign finance investigative websites, and is a principal at For the People Films LLC, an Oakland, Calif.-based investigative documentary production company.
