Biography

Is an independent Honduran/German photojournalist based in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He focuses primarily on conflict, violence, development, and humanitarianism, sourcing and providing local perspectives to the international discourse. Fritz has worked on projects in Colombia, Ukraine, Germany, and Honduras. Apart from individual freelance assignments, Fritz is a regular contributor to The Guardian & The New Humanitarian and an associate at the Centre for the Study of Illicit Economies, Violence and Development (CIVAD) in London. He has been contracted to provide workshops at the Jugend Medien Program, Junge Presse Berlin & Youth Media Convention on topics such as: “Journalism in complex conflicts and humanitarian emergencies” & “Conflict and Displacement in Colombia”. He is the founder of the Vista Network, which is an independent initiative for emerging journalists to connect, teach, and provide security provisions in complex/challenging projects in a non-competitive environment. Fritz is the Winner of the SOAS Audio Visual Award in the category of photography for the project “The Language of Resistance” and has been selected for the Canon student development programme and the MSF photo competition “The Other Side”.
