I quit saying I’m going to lose weight this year because it never happens. I am turning my resolutions to another direction which gives me more pleasure and is easier to accomplish. During Lent I usually try to call a friend or someone I know that is homebound or rarely can get out anymore because of health reasons. It makes them happy and it makes me happy too.
By Gail Sowell| The Navasota Examiner Verified Once again, parish members at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Anderson will provide a Christmas Eve Meal Sunday, Dec. 24, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The hall is located at 1511 Hwy. 90. If you know of anyone that could use a good meal on Christmas Eve, please let us know. They may come to the hall or if they are unable to do that, we can deliver a meal to them in local or nearby areas.
