Biography

Freelance writer and subtitler boasting years of experience in both fields. Former lead writer for Inside The Ropes, managing the online content and writing for the monthly print magazine which is distributed via WHSmith in the UK and Barnes & Noble in the US. Previous credits also include BBC, Nutmeg Magazine, The Anfield Wrap, Rush The Kop, SPORF, Sportskeeda, WhatCulture, Dead Press, Daily Record and Paisley Gazette among others. Over the years, I've maintained great relationships with WWE, AEW, IMPACT and ROH among other companies which, along with setting up interviews with talents directly, has saw me sit down with the likes of Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Edge, Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley and more. Outside of wrestling, I've also interviewed Tyson Fury, Frank Turner, Black Veil Brides, Bowling For Soup, and Avatar. Not only have I maintained professional relationships with companies, I’ve also established sources within those organisations and broken news regarding signings, contracts, album releases, and even the location of WrestleMania - with my exclusive stories being sourced by CNN, NBC, FOX, Forbes, TalkSPORT and many others. I've also featured on the WWE Network several times, with my work being shared by WWE, AEW & IMPACT via their official social channels. Outside of journalism, I’ve also been operating as a full-time subtitler for over five years - originating both prerecorded and live output. In this role, I've had experience of working under pressure and to strict deadlines for clients such as BBC, Sky, Channel 4, Channel 5, BT Sport, Netflix and UKTV. From both of these careers, I've established one of my main skills as proofreading/editing copy to the highest standard, perfecting grammar and establishing consistency across lengthy articles and publications. I also work on transcription, which was a symbiotic skill resulting from both of my careers, and can turn around full interviews very quickly.
