(Mike Colón, OurQuadCities.com)The two new drones will deploy from a roof-mounted hangar that can open and deploy a drone within 20 seconds of a request. Once requested, the operator will be able to fly the drone to anywhere in Moline in less than three minutes. Officers in squad cars can see the drone video even before they get to a scene.

Right now the school has four 90 minute blocks and an academic year broken down into quarters. The Davenport Community School Board voted to change that to eight 45 minute periods and semester academic school year. Not everyone is on board with the change. Some student say career and technical classes (CTE), like welding and auto mechanics, are better off as longer classes.
