Biography

Good leaders are products of the right environment and geography. But this may not be true if individuals fail to submit themselves to the right training which is the cornerstone of any meaningful development. Based on my background and upbringing, I have always shown a strong predilection for scholarship and leadership as a way of making a progressive impact on my immediate environment. Checking my odyssey, it must be emphasized that such penchant for knowledge has over the years positioned me to be a shining star among my counterparts in school and family. While I was able to conquer the academic barriers in my primary and secondary schools, I advanced beyond that to become a major influencer among my peers, mentoring and tutoring lots. In my university days, I was a notable member of the intelligentsia class and those with strong opinions about unionism, legislation, and human right. As a writer who has demonstrated brilliance over the last ten years, I constantly use my pen to draw the attention of my audience to societal malaise, and at the same time, reveal the great achievement of politicians. In recent times, I won the John Kayode Fayemi essay competition for the Graduate/ Post Graduate category. The topic of the essay was one that shares in the sentiment and yearnings around youths' involvement in politics and leadership. I have the right attitude to work, even at my workplace, I have the general appeal from people not because of my physical look but because of my willingness to learn and grow. Thank you.

  • Oyebanji: X-raying the future of Ekiti -By Gbadebo Adeagbo

By Gbadebo Adeagbo| Opinion Nigeria Verified Never at any point in the annals of Ekiti State’s political history had a sitting governor influenced positively the victory of his successor since 1999, the beginning year of the Fourth Republic. The successes recorded in the June 18 election symbolise a pact amongst Ekiti people to destroy the encumbrance on the path of the progressive course. Aside from this, it also represents a formal treaty among Ekiti people irrespective of political inclinations, geared to snowball into future greatness.
