That was slightly slower than the U.S. at 4.6% (Exhibit 1). That ranked Arizona 26th in the U.S. (excluding the District of Columbia). Personal income, before adjustment for inflation, rose the fastest in Delaware, followed by South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, and Alabama. Personal income rose the slowest in Louisiana, Vermont, Indiana, Arkansas, and Idaho.

  • Arizona job growth kicks off 2025 slow

Arizona added 4,300 seasonally-adjusted jobs over the month in February, up from a revised increase of 1,700 in January. The preliminary estimate for January was an increase of 7,400. The state seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate ticked up to 4.0%, slightly higher than January at 3.9%. The national rate was 4.1%.
